Directions:Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brown hamburger with garlic in the sesame oil. Drain any fat and add brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, salt and pepper and red peppers. Simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors. Serve over steamed rice and top with green onions.
Yum, I've tried a similar recipe with really thinly sliced beef, but that's harder to get than ground beef.

ReplyDeleteJust made it - yum! I thought I had sesame oil, but when I went to get it, the bottle I was thinking of was Sweet Cooking Rice Wine, so I went ahead and used it instead of the sesame oil and it worked just fine. I used low sodium soy sauce (575mg sodium/Tbsp) and turned out good.
ReplyDeleteJust made it again ;)
DeleteI just saw a similar recipe on pinterest with 1/3 cup brown sugar. I might try that and see if I still like it with cutting down the sugar a bit. I make this a lot, it's tasty, easy, and affordable.
ReplyDeleteY'all. Try it with a bibimbap variation.
ReplyDeleteI shred carrots, pickle persian cucumbers with vinegar, salt, sugar, and red pepper flakes, and fry an egg.
